Tale of the photo
Sukhothai Historical Park is the most impressive set of ruins in Thailand. This park was included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1991.
Many of the temples present date back to around 800 years ago and are in a truly splendid natural environment.
The park is divided into 5 zones and, although some of the most famous temples and palaces are located within the central area, there are many gems to be discovered in other areas… if you have the time and the will to explore with a bicycle. Infact it is forbidden to go around the park with motor vehicles.
Unlike other historical parks in South East Asia, in Sukhothai you never feel like in assaulted by tourists. The Historical Park covers a wider area than one might expect and visitors have the opportunity to disperse in various places, without ever being intrusive.
Sukhothai Historical Park is one of my favorite places in Thailand, here I really took many photographs, returning several times over the years.
The photo here proposed tells one of my favorite place of the Park.
While I was trying to write at best with the light, to bring out the reflection of the trees on the water mirror, a great stork passed, so I snapped.
The result is now on sale in the 100×67 cm format, printed on high quality Hahnemuhle photographic paper.
