Gallura, light and shadow

Story
On some occasions, I find myself in a situation where I don’t have much to say about the photographs I’ve taken. In reality, photographs, by their visual nature, don’t necessarily need to be accompanied by an introductory text. This is certainly the case for this series of landscape photographs I’ve titled “Gallura, Light and Shadow.” For me, the title alone is enough to introduce the photographs.
The only thing I feel inclined to add to the photos is a personal sensation. There are places that, when I observe them, it’s as if I already see them in black and white. The particular rock formations of Gallura appeared to me in black and white even before I photographed them, and I can’t imagine them any other way. A true landscape yin and yang, where light and shadow sometimes blend and at other times, seemingly, contrast.
Racconto
In alcune occasioni mi trovo in una situazione nella quale non ho molto da dire sulle fotografie che ho realizzato. In realtà le fotografie per la loro natura visiva non è detto che debbano essere necessariamente accompagnate da un testo introduttivo. Certamente è il caso di questa serie fotografica di paesaggi che ho intitolato “Gallura, light and shadow”. Un titolo che per me è gia sufficiente a introdurre le fotografie.
L’unica cosa che mi sento di aggiungere alle foto è una mia personale sensazione. Ci sono dei luoghi che quando li osservo è come se li vedessi già in bianco e nero. Le particolari formazioni rocciose della Gallura le vedevo in bianco e nero ancor prima di fotografarle e non riesco a immaginarle diversamente. Un vero e proprio yin e yang paesaggistico nel quale luci e ombre talvolta si fondono e in altre occasioni, apparentemente, si contrastano.
